Remembrance Parade Banstead, Surrey

Many hundreds of people lined the streets of Banstead as the Remembrance Parade marched to the War Memorial. Nine Surrey Freemasons and their wives proudly joined the Procession.

Banstead & Reigate Council had organised a very well supported Parade made up ofd many local organisations and charities.

After the 2-minute silence at 11.00, Bill Caughie laid a wreath on behalf of Surrey Freemasons to commemorate those who laid down their lives for us to live in peace today. 44 Surrey Freemasons made the ultimate sacrifice.

There followed a poignant and moving service in memory of the 100-year anniversary of the Armistice.
