The third Saturday in January, March, September and November.
We are North Downs Lodge in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Surrey.
Our members typically live in the towns and villages along and off the North Downs Way.
Members are mostly from Leatherhead, Fetcham and Bookham.
We also have members from Fleet, Farnham, Woking, with some members & guests travelling from as far as Middlesex, Sussex, Dorset, Somerset and Derby to meet with us.
We meet at the South West Surrey Masonic Centre in Weybourne House, Hitherbury Close, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4DR.
Weybourne House is a purpose-built Masonic centre with two lodge meeting rooms, two dining rooms and an expansive bar area.
Steps lead from the large outside patio area down to private frontage on the Wey Navigation making the centre popular for both masonic and non-masonic events.
North Downs Lodge holds and supports various “White Table” and “Ladies’ Festival” events. These are an excellent opportunity to entertain our partners, friends and families at the same time as supporting our charitable activities.
Our lodge is also keen supporter of the Surrey Masonic Sport Association (SMSA).
The SMSA organises a wide range of sporting & social activities open to masons and non-masons alike. Sports include Golf, Bowls, Sea and Coarse Fishing, Clay Shooting and Cycling.
North Downs Lodge was consecrated on Saturday 23rd September 1950, so we’re starting to look forward to our 70th anniversary year!
Originally meeting in Leatherhead among the foothills of the Surrey Downs our lodge was aptly named North Downs.
Our badge with its illustration of Leith Hill Tower is slightly incorrect in so far as that Leith Hill does not actually stand on the North Downs.
But as the essence of our craft rests in symbolism the tower marking the highest point in Surrey is most appropriate as this will always be the goal of North Downs Lodge in Freemasonry.
