Noel Surrey Motorcyclist Lodge

Noel Surrey Motorcyclist Lodge met in September with our two Honorary Members assisting.

Unfortunately our Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Chris Wheeler. was unable to attend at short notice and as he was bringing the candidate for the Passing, that ceremony had to be abandoned. We quickly had to find a Master for the meeting. W.Bro. Chris Eley jumped at the chance and also presented a talk on “Why Bother with the Ritual’ which lasted 15 minutes but prompted a discussion afterwards that lasted 20 minutes.   W.Bro. Steve Rowlands then presented a bit of spoof ritual “the opening of a lodge according to East End workings”.

After these presentations VW.Bro. Richard Wileman, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, received on behalf of the Province a cheque which gained Noel Surrey Motorcyclist Lodge the bronze award for the Surrey Festival.

As W.Bro. Chris Eley couldn’t dine VW.Bro. Richard Wileman then acted as Master for the Festive Board.

If you want to join a Motorcyclist Lodge who have fun whilst enjoying their ritual please contact W.Bro Steve Rowlands on steve@vilcol.com.  Likewise we are a feeder into The Widow Sons and are looking to start a Surrey Chapter.  Again contact Steve if you are interested.
