A Further Advancement in Masonic Knowledge for Ember Chapter
In January, the Companions of Ember Chapter No 2540 were pleased to receive as a guest the Third Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. Stephen Wigmore; and a number of other guests to hear a talk on the Royal Arch – the Principals, Officers, Banners and Implements.
The Chapter was opened by the MEZ, E.Comp. Bill Brodie, who welcomed everyone, especially the Third Provincial Grand Principal and the other guests.
After the minutes had been taken the Principals for the year were Proclaimed by the Chapter Director of Ceremonies, E.Comp. Steve Guzy, ProvGSN. E.Comp. W E Brodie as MEZ, . E.Comp. P P Lewcock, ProvGStB, as ‘H’ and E.Comp. A Dibble as ‘J’. The three Principals’ Robes and Sceptres were explained by E.Comp. Chris Eley, a guest of the Scribe E.
After the Officers had been invested we were entertained by a most interesting and informative talk by the Principals and Officers of the Chapter on their Biblical origins, as well as the Banners and Implements of a Royal Arch Chapter. Every member of the Chapter had a part to play in the talk.
A big thank you to the Scribe ‘E’, E.Comp. Bruce Perry, BEM, PGStB, for putting this together, as well as inviting myself and Steve Wigmore along as his guests; and E.Comp. Steve Guzy for acting as Narrator and facilitating the talk.
The Companions of Ember Chapter and their guests then sat down to a splendid festive board at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.
