22 Feb An Interesting Afternoon at Rutlish Chapter
At the January Convocation of Rutlish Chapter the Companions rehearsed the Sojourners’ work in the Exaltation Ceremony. For future Exaltation Ceremonies it is intended that the work of the Principal Sojourner is split into three to ensure as many Companions as possible can take part in the Ceremony and to make learning the ritual not so onerous as it might be for one person.
The MEZ, E.Comp. Andy Gibbs, PPAGDC, then invited E.Comp. Chris Eley, an Honorary Member of the Chapter, to present a Supreme Grand Chapter Certificate to Comp. Matthew Wood.
This was rather special for Chris as he had assisted in Matt’s Exaltation Ceremony a year ago.
He also had the pleasure of presenting Matt with his Grand Lodge Certificate as the Official Visitor to Rutlish Lodge in December last year.
Afterwards the MEZ thanked E.Comp. Chris for presenting the Certificate to Comp. James in such an interesting manner
After the Chapter was closed the Companions of Rutlish Chapter and their guests sat down to a most convivial festive board at the Sutton Masonic Hall.
